Discovery Weekend

Friday, August 27, 6:00 PM

Discover God's Love for you through this free gift from the congregation of the Episcopal Church of St. Simon and St. Jude.

What is Discovery Weekend?

  • Discovery Weekend is about relationships:  your relationship with Christ, with other Christians and with your Church.
  • Discovery Weekend is a retreat from the cares and pressures of daily life.
  • Discovery Weekend is being cared for and nurtured physically and spiritually.
  • Discovery Weekend is about stories -- your story and the stories of this congregation and of wonderful people who know God is near.
  • Discovery Weekend is an opportunity to play, to laugh, to sing, to share, to worship.
  • Discovery Weekend is a gift from God and from the good people of St. Simon and St. Jude. Won't you accept this gift and discover a new level of faith in Christ?

Discovery Weekend is for everyone of all ages! We will begin with fellowship and dinner at 6 p.m. on Friday, August 27th, and will hear inspiring accounts of Christ in our lives. The evening will conclude around 9 p.m. We will gather Saturday, August 28th, at 7:15 a.m. for continental breakfast. The program day begins at 8 a.m., and will include talks, presentations, and round table discussions. We will share lunch and dinner, and the weekend will conclude around 8:30 p.m. Child care is available; please be sure to register your child if you need child care.
