The Aktion Club of Seven Oaks and Epworth Early Intervention Program are sponsoring a Spaghetti Dinner, dine-in or take out, here at SSSJ on August 10 from 5 to 7 pm. Adults can eat for $8; children for $5, and the plate includes spaghetti, salad and dessert. (Drinks are available for dine-in only.) Proceeds go to the Epworth Early Intervention Program, helping children with developmental delays reach their maximum potential. Please see Jarad or Marty Hess for tickets.
Have a good story you would like to pass on to Jonathan Wallace? He’d like to hear from folks; his e-mail is JNW1980 (at) g.mail.com.
A committee is being formed to consider adding some color in form or design to our sanctuary space. If you would like to participate, please talk with Fr. Mark.
Do you have ideas for programs you'd like to see started at St. Simon and St. Jude? We are starting a brand new, fun group to discuss these programs and come up with ways we might decide how to accomplish them. This would be a great way to get involved here at church. The meetings will be short (59 minutes or less) and there will always some type of food. We will start in August. Please contact Judy Gallagher or Rindy Abdelnour if you'd like to join the others who have already responded.
There will be a training session for Worship Leaders (who lead Morning Prayer) and Lay Eucharistic Visitors (who take Eucharist to shut-ins) on September 26. Please talk with Fr. Mark if you are interested.
The church office will be closed next Thursday and Friday; if there is an emergency, please call Senior Warden, Blount Shepard, 407-8284; or Junior Warden, Lewis Burke, 750-5876.
