Our parish celebrated the feast day of our patron saints in grand style this year. On Wednesday, November 28, we celebrated the Feast of Saint Simon and Saint Jude through a Renewal of Ministry and Welcoming of Father Mark Abdelnour as our new rector. The Right Rev'd Dorsey Henderson, bishop of the Diocese of Upper South Carolina, presided over this festival eucharist, which was also attended by many clergy and laity from several other churches. The Rev'd Canon Philip Purser preached the sermon. At the reception following the service, Bishop Henderson was presented with a special gift from our parish: a pumpkin carved in his likeness.
